The poorest people on Earth contribute the least to climate change, and yet they are often hardest hit by its consequences. This gift supports Tearfund’s partners who work with vulnerable communities as they build resilience to a changing climate.
Mr Kalicharan (pictured) participated in various training and exposure programs on climate change adaptation through EFICOR, one of Tearfund's partners in India, and received a plantation of fruit saplings for his plot. He says he has noticed the impact of climate change on rainfall patterns and crop yields.
“The training [on climate change] was eye-opener for us,” he said.
This gift also contributes to Tearfund’s climate justice advocacy with the church in Australia.
