How your gift helps

There are places in our world where people experience the most severe aspects of poverty and injustice: not only a lack of food or income, but oppression, persecution, discrimination and violence. Tearfund partners with local organisations that are faithfully and courageously present in these “hard places”.

Abdul*, who comes from a village in Afghanistan’s Kabul province, has been unable to work since the political change in his country in 2021. “Now living and finding food materials for my family is getting so hard,” he says. One of Tearfund’s partners has delivered emergency relief in Abdul’s village. “I am very happy to receive food, hygiene kits and blankets … for my family.”
