These children have good reason to smile: along with their families and neighbours in this rural region of Pakistan, they’re enjoying transformed hope and health, thanks to the support of Tearfund’s partner Sahara Community Health Association (SaCHA) Diocese of Hyderabad.

Alongside health education, initiatives including household latrines, fuel-efficient ‘smokeless’ stoves and hand-washing facilities have drastically reduced illnesses and improved health, especially for children. Heeri, a local mother of four says, “I am glad and thankful for how carefully and properly the SaCHA team has taught many skills to us, and has opened our eyes to live life with dignity and joy.”
