Lasting transformation happens when women are connected and empowered. This Useful Gift supports individual women, their families and their communities through Self-Help Groups, training and income-generation activities.

These women are members of a Self-Help Group in Bihar, India, facilitated by Tearfund’s partner the Evangelical Fellowship of India Commission on Relief (EFICOR). The women say that being part of this group has empowered them to increase their voice within their households and broader community. They’ve also collectively saved money and taken out a loan to start a fishery business.

The group hopes to see every woman changed and empowered, starting in their homes.
