How your gift helps
This Useful Gift celebrates all the amazing teachers working to transform the lives of students through education projects run by Tearfund’s local partners.
In northern Laos, Tearfund’s partner World Renew is working to improve children’s access to education. Teachers are trained to use creative teaching methods that strengthen numeracy and language skills, while connecting learning to students’ cultural backgrounds.
Teacher Ms Sengvilay (pictured) says she can see the difference schooling makes to her students: “They will have a bigger picture, they will have a vision, and their livelihood, the way they live their life, will be different...”.
