In Zambia, one in three children are not reaching their growth milestones due to chronic malnutrition. But, amid challenges like these, there’s hope. Tearfund’s Christian partner Reformed Open Community Schools (ROCS) is working to improve health outcomes for thousands of Zambian children and their families.

ROCS trains community volunteers to empower local families with nutrition education and access to good food, like the nutrition-packed porridge Kirstina is preparing in the photo on this Useful Gift card.

“We are passing our skills and learning on to children,” says Doris, a community nutrition volunteer. “You won’t find malnutrition in our homes: in children, or adults.”
